Graduation Year: 2028

Description:  A competitive  team in our girls club program consisting of the 2028 graduation year. Players will receive accelerated coaching through our high school preparatory practices designed to rapidly advance skill sets. Our unmatched training coupled with participating in the nation's leading lacrosse events, gives our athletes the opportunity to develop to their full potential while preparing them for the next level of lacrosse.

Tryouts:  This team is formed from an open tryout in September. Tryout registration will begin in July under the tryout tab. Players selected from this tryout will travel the following summer. Tournament schedule will be posted by day of the tryout. For current team availability please call 513-562-7331.

Kate graduated from Wheeling Jesuit University where she was a 4 year athlete.  WJU is a Division II Lacrosse program in which Kate has played both as a midfielder and an attacker. Her freshman year at WJU she was on the Mountain East Conference’s All-Freshman Team. During her debut season she had eight goals, eight caused turnovers, and 14 draw controls. By the time she had finished her senior season she became a dominant offensive player with 36 points and 53 draw controls. This earned her a spot on the post season All-Conference Tournament Team.

Kate graduated from McAuley High School in 2015 where she played four years on the varsity lacrosse team. During her four years she received Second Team All-Conference in the GGCL as a sophomore and was third in the GGCL in draw controls.

This is Kate’s 3rd season coaching for Velocity.  Kate also played for Velocity and is incredibly grateful to Coach Natalie Lang for encouraging her and helping her reach the next level on the field. Kate is excited to continue to help grow the next generation of lacrosse players. She is currently the Head Coach for Mercy McAuley JV team and helps assist on Varsity.

Noorah Basher is currently a Jr. at The Ohio State Univeristy majoring in Chemistry and Physics Education. Upon graduation she will have a dual license in education. Her goal is to become a High School Chemistry teacher.

Basher’s 11 year lacrosse career started off playing for Mason in 4th grade. She graduated from Mason High School and was a key contributor to their programs success.  During her senior season, Basher was awarded 1st team all district and state. She set a school record for draws won by a single player in a season. She was also named team captain and MVP. Basher is currently playing for Cincinnati Queens Women’s Lacrosse team.

Basher will be entering her 2nd season coaching for Velocity. Her experience as a player was extremely important for her personal growth. It has become a major goal for Basher to share her knowledge and passion for the game with her Velocity players.
