Description: A high level recruiting team in our boys club program consisting of the 2021 - 2022 graduation year. Players will receive accelerated coaching through our college preparatory practices designed to rapidly advance skill sets. Our unmatched training coupled with participating in the nation's leading lacrosse events, gives our athletes the platform to showcase in front of college coaches.
Tryouts: This team is formed from an open tryout in September. Tryout registration will begin in August. Players selected from this tryout will travel the following summer. For currently team availability please call 513-847-8491.
This is Joe's fifth year on the Velocity coaching staff.
Joe coached six seasons on the coaching staff at Mount Saint Joseph University and is now currently the head varsity coach at Lebanon Hs.
Cornely played high school lacrosse at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and won the C.Markland Kelley Award for outstanding attackman while there.
He then attended Washington College in Maryland where he obtained a bachelor of science degree in Bio Chemistry. Cornely was a four year starter in the midfield in college. He also played club lacrosse for the Mt. Washington Lacrosse club in Baltimore and the Atlanta Lacrosse Club.
Cornely spent 12 seasons at St. Xavier High School (Cincinnati, OH) as the Varsity offensive coordinator along side Pat Collura.
He has 30 years of sales & marketing experience with fortune 500 companies, is a Certified (ACE) personal trainer, and a Mentor in the Xavier University School of Business.
This is Coach Collura's 4th year coaching in the Velocity program.

Pat Collura is one of the original founders of Southern Ohio Lacrosse and continues to be one of the key contributors to lacrosse in this region. His experience in the lacrosse industry is unmatched, and he has set the bar for managing, coaching and growing lacrosse programs in the Midwest.
Coach Collura had a successful personal career as a lacrosse player starting on Long Island and transitioning to Ohio. His knowledge of the game is unparalleled and is one of the primary reasons he is recognized for being one of the founding fathers of lacrosse in Southern Ohio. He has developed and grown programs from top to bottom including the Cincinnati Blue Jays Youth and Middle School Programs, St. Xavier High School, and The Summit Country Day lacrosse programs. As a Head Coach he has had five final four appearances since 2005, and has coached six high school All Americans. Coach Collura grew the St. Xavier High School lacrosse program from 2 teams to 5 teams, with 180+ players and a staff of 13. At the time St. Xavier was the largest high school lacrosse program in the Midwest.
Coach Collura is currently the Head Boys Lacrosse Coach of The Summit Country Day School, taking his team to another State Final Four appearance in 2015,2016 ,2017 &2018. He has received numerous awards including: 2000 OHSLA (Ohio High School Lacrosse Association) Man of the Year, 2005 OHSLA Coach of the Year, 2010 MSLCA (Midwest Scholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association) Coach of the Year, 2010 USL Ohio South Man of the Year, and is the General Manager of the Velocity Lacrosse Travel Program.
